I laid out a draft infrastructure project cutover plan for the 1/24 weekend and reviewed with the cross-functional team (two developers, 4 engineers, and project sponsor). After the meeting, I reviewed the updated cutover plan and noticed a missing task.
If we rollback B that means we have to rollback A too! I called one of the engineers and he said he was just discussing that with his colleague. He said he was surprised I caught it. This was a nice compliment because it meant he saw me as someone who understands infrastructure and the interdependencies.
I’m proud that I think of the big picture – analyzing all elements and factors in a project while applying my infrastructure knowledge/experience.
